8 days late, negative blood and urine tests.

I'm 35, husband 37 and we've been ttc for 7 months. My period has always been regular since I was 11. However, I'm now 8 days late and have tested negative on every brand of tests out there. Yesterday, I had a quantative HCG blood test and that too was negative. Is there even the slightest chance I could be pregnant? Has this happened to anyone else and what was your outcome?
