What Southern Pride Means to You?
If you're a proud Confederate Flag waving American from the South, please help me understand what Southern pride means to you and how that's different from what it means to racists.
I'm from the South and for me Southern pride comes across like a smoke screen in debates because it only comes up in the context of race and racial issues.
But maybe that's not the case; so what am I missing?
I personally don't feel that a flag can BE racist. But we know racists fly them too; so what's the difference between the Southern pride non-racists feel vs racist Southerners?
If you read this as me calling all White people racist, don't bother commenting. Move along. Grow up. Stop wasting everybody else's time in CC.
