Delivery support ??

Question

Okay ladies, The person you had in the delivery room, was they helpful and rooting you on or stood there quiet?

My SO says he thinks he'll be quite and nervous..do I need to find better support lol?

My husband was quiet and honestly I'm sure if he would have said much, I probably would have snapped on him. It really depends on how you are at that moment, first time around, I was loud and in lots of pain. Second time, I was much more relaxed and so was he.

I had my mother and my husband. I was getting induce and my mother was the one actually against us getting induced. I was 40 weeks 3 days being induced. There were times where my mother and husband told me to not make the decision to have my doctor break my water and to go home instead. They kept complaining and I ended up kicking them out. So I decided to let my doctor break my water & we went from there forward. Although my husband and mother were angry with me, they stood by my side and supported me. It was a long 27 hours of labor until we meet our little boy, Ethan. He weighed 8lbs 6oz. To this day, my mother is so in love with him and she's going to be there when I have my little girl in November. I only have 10 weeks left till she arrives.

With all the shit going on I wouldn't have noticed if my so left or yelled or stayed quiet haha.

My boyfriend said the same thing but when labor hit, things changed. Just make sure he remains informed and knowledgeable on what happens during labor. A childbirth class or a book might help him!

My husband didn't do anything honestly lol. I think he was a little overwhelmed. My l&d nurse was AMAZING and with her and prayer I had all the support I needed 👍🏽:)

Depends on what you want. I told my husband to let me be and not fuss much but that's my personality. I don't like people fussing over me especially if I don't feel great.

I think when you need him he will know what to do...he's been with you for years, he loves you. He will be able to read the situation and tell what you need

My mom and fiancé were each holding a leg. My grandma was in the room but it was kinda crazy when I started pushing so it was unexpected. I heard my mom the whole time and all the nurses encouraging me. Every now and then my fiancé would tell me good job keep going. But if it weren't for my mom and the nurses I wouldn't have known what to do or how to push or anything.

I just had my husband he was amazing but a "you can do it man" just keep going. I wanted to punch him in the face at one point! I really wish my mum was there too you need compassion and encouragement.
