New mom advice
What's something you would tell new moms that they don't know or need to hear?
Mine would be: you're not superwoman. You don't have to be. The baby will scream and cry and you won't be able to make him stop. That's ok. When you're frustrated, lay the baby down and walk away for a minute.
The first couple weeks were pure hell for us. The baby crying at night and not being used to it was awful. I remember one night I jumped up, couldn't get baby to latch, grabbed my manual pump and started pumping. My husband goes "you're not doing it fast enough" and tried helping. He tilted it upwards though and pulled it off and half an ounce went down my shirt and pants. He held the baby to my breast and goes "we gotta make this work" and spent thirty minutes with a screaming baby trying to get him to latch.
