I'm on a bb, and one topic was disciplining a one year old. Well, the mind of a one year does not understand discipline. You use tools such as saying no in a firm tone, then redirecting them to something, such as a favorite toy. But one woman said of her ONE year old scratches or bites her, she sticks her whole finger down his throat and gags him. This is completely wrong, and in my eyes child abuse. This child has no idea what and why you are doing this to him, and could greatly affect his future behavior. This makes me incredibly anger and sad for that child. I can't imagine what that feels like and to not understand why his mom would do that to him.
