Is snapchat bad for relationships?

So I'm asking because I've seen multiple posts over the past couple months regard ng snap chats and relationships.
I don't know how snapchat works other than you post pics and videos and they don't stay up very long.
So if someone doesn't mind because I don't wanna download it how does it work? Pros? Cons? Why do so many people have issues with it when spouses use it?
