Cake for shower?

My baby shower is next weekend and I ordered some custom made elephant cookies in the colors we are using to decorate for the baby as part of the favors but I didn't think about a cake or anything like that.  We are doing it at a restaurant so there will be food but should I get some cupcakes or a cake or something like that????

I feel like the cookies are enough for a sweet treat at a restaurant. Depends what kind of restaurant, do you have like an area reserved for your shower or just where ever you get seated? If there's a reserved area then maybe a cake would be a good idea.
I'm having my baby shower at my dads house with a cookout and I'm looking for a cake to have as the sweet treat.

I agree if you've got a table at a restaurant a cake wouldn't be really expected I don't think.

We're having a BBQ so I ordered a cake like this but all white no name and a white balloon as we're having a surprise.. can't wait!

Iwas the same as didn't know how traditional cakes where 😳 I'm just having an afternoon tea with women only fi her food champagne and non alcoholic I did decide to get a cake very different. I still think a cake would be nice even if it's at a restaurant even as a thank you to everyone for coming

We are having outs at a restaurant too and had planned to get a cake. But now we are skipping it since I got diagnosed with GD. I'd say go for it if you can eat it!!
