Newborn/baby skincare?

Ftm here so I just wanted some advice from other mums about skincare for your baby. I'm not sure what products I need to keep him clean, do I just stick with water at the beginning? Do I need some sort of moisturiser for his skin after baths?? I have Bepanthen for nappy rashes but should I use anything else to keep his skin soft? Thank you xx

I'm gonna purchase some Kokoso Baby from Boots next week, it's an organic coconut oil for pretty much any use on the baby x

I'll be using live baby products. They have bath body wash/shampoo, lotion, diaper cream etc.

Water in the beginning is great, and you don't have to bathe them every day, just wipe them down. I never used any lotion with my daughter as her skin never got dry, but there are plenty of baby lotions out on the market. You can try unscented ones first as they are usually more gentle for sensitive skin.

You shouldn't put lotion on them in the beginning either. Their skin will flake and that's good because that's the layer that needs to come off from being wet the whole time inutero.
