Best cloth diapers?

I'm thinking of doing cloth diapering but I've become so overwhelmed with all the different options. I've tried looking online but I feel more confused. 
What types or brands do you recommend? Trying to save money, but I've seen some that are $20+ a piece??

See if there is a boutique near you that carries cloth diapers and supplies. I went to a local shop and it helped a lot. Watch YouTube videos. Some are super spendy. And it can depended on baby what will work for you. I joined a FB group and bought some used diapers of different kinds to try out. I'm leaning towards pockets or prefolds and covers. Covers are nice cuz they range from $4-$20 but you can just wipe the inside clean and use 3 or so times and just change the prefolds diaper part. I was super overwhelmed too, just takes research. If you're trying to save money, look into prefolds or flats and covers. That's what I use- Green Mountain Diaper prefolds and flats with Blueberry capri covers. The GMD diapers and extremely absorbant and soo softand the Blueberry covers are absolutely amazing. I never worry about blowouts or leaks bc they just don't happen.

One of the cheapest cloth diapering systems is prefolds and covers. That's what I am currently doing. I love the thirsties cover which is $13 and I got prefolds from green mountain diapers- they are very absorbable and affordable. Dozen of newborn size cost $25. Don't bother with brands like gerber you will just being wasting your money- better as burp cloths.

I also like the pocket diapers and instead of using regular inserts I just use my prefolds folded in thirds. I like the sunbaby brand. $85 for 24 covers.

You can buy the covers used and buy new inserts. It's expensive we bought everything brand new and ended up buying disposals instead!! We will use the cloth ones when babe is ready for potty training
