PCOS?

Who here has PCOS and how did you find out?

My menstrual cycles have always been very heavy and now my period is over a month late, went to the Dr. and sadly Im not expecting....Ive been reading about PCOS and I have all the symptoms except for acne lol I will be bringing it uo to my OBGYN dr.

Was trying and realize staring in Feb I haven't been ovulating. Tests confirmed I have some of the signs, in particular very high AMH (outside any normal ranges). I've always had irregular periods except once in my life, when I was bone-thin, and I just don't think I can get there again :(

My doctor explained PCOS more as a spectrum kind of thing. I don't have all of the symptoms of PCOS, but the symptoms I do have all fall under PCOS. I had blood work and an ultrasound to help determine if I fell under the PCOS umbrella. The ultrasound found the typical string of pearl cysts on my ovaries. And the blood work showed I was high or low in something. I don't really remember, but my GYN didn't think I had PCOS, and when I went to a fertility specialist, he was the one to say yes you have it and did the ultrasound to show the cystic ovaries. I've had very irregular cycles after coming off BC last year, but the specialist said that PCOS and annovulation is one of the most common and easily treatable type of infertility.
