Normal or no ??

Question

Not sure if it's worth mentioning to my doctor, or just a normal part of pregnancy. This is my first so I'm still learning, opinions appreciated ☺️ I have an appointment tomorrow.
I will be 30 weeks and 3 days. And for the last few days, on and off, I've had intense swelling in my face and hands. Usually they'll get pretty swollen and then go back down to normal after a couple of hours. Is that suppose to happen? Thanks in advance!

Check you bp! Cvs and other pharmacies have a bp machine you can use there free, and you can buy a home bp kit there too if you don't have one at home.
This could be normal, but those are also symptoms associated with pre-eclampsia.
DEFINITELY tell your doctor!

If you are ever in doubt, always talk to your doctor. Swelling in the face may be concerning because it could easily affect your breathing if it ever got worse. I would definitely tell your doctor about it.

I have just started to experience this the past couple weeks and I'm 34 weeks. I believe it's pretty normal because my urine levels are always good and I don't have preeclampsia. I notice that it happens more when I'm on my feet a lot or when I don't drink enough water. Usually goes down after I sit and put my feet up or give them a good warm bath.

I am very upset. My doctor didn't even listen to me. This is NOT my normal doctor. My husband is in the army and I am home visiting with my family a few states away. I will be traveling home this weekend and I have an appointment with my midwife first thing next week! The doctor did not even listen to my concerns.... which wasn't JUST the swelling. 😞

Always the first question my midwife asks at appointments......doesnt your Dr ask about swelling?

My face and hands are swollen too and I was planning on bringing it up at my next appointment which is Thursday. I typically have low blood pressure so I'm not sure how that works with preeclampsia but I've been a little worried because my fingers feel like they are broken they are so swollen. Let me know what your doctor says!
