why do people say this

I was 4 weeks and 3 days when I had my miscarriage and everyone keeps telling me to think of the positive  they say I should be thankful I was not very far along.   I see no positive in this at all.

I kept getting "at least you know you can get pregnant now".... well, no, not really. Miscarrying after 9 weeks doesn't give me hope for anything, just more worries that it will happen again.

Good luck to you, please know you aren't alone. Grieve as you need to, no matter how early the miscarriage, it's still a loss to those of us who never got to meet our babies.

The only acceptable thing to say to someone who has lost a baby is, "I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?" I need to make flyers or something.

Urg yea I don't see how this would be helpful to say....maybe they are just lost for comforting words and not sure what to say? Sorry to hear about your loss, sending positive thought your way.

Jesus Christ I hate people. This is awful. My best friend died during labor and so many people said "Jesus is gonna bless you so much for this" 😑 just........ no. The moment you know you're pregnant, you're attached. So no, the pain is not less just because the weeks were still in the single digits

My husband and I have had 5 miscarrriages all 7 weeks and earlier and let me tell you people suck. People always say the wrong thing. Things like"atleast i happened early" " you are young you have plenty of time" (im 26) or "just relax" (hate that one) i realy thought of carrying a sign with what not to say. I tell my family I don't want advice I just want to hear im sorry and Im here for you.  So sorry you went through that and so sorry people suck!
