Is it wrong to wish for a specific gender?

Of course EVERYONE wants a healthy baby, but do some of you wish/hope for a certain gender....obviously before you know what the gender is? I read a lot of posts on here saying "we're trying for a boy/girl" as if they have a choice in the matter... 🙄

It's not wrong to wish for a specific gender. It's only wrong if you didn't love the baby because it's not the gender you want. I just hope for a healthy one.

I have a beautiful girl and I gave her my mother's first and middle names as 2 middle names as a tribute to her as she passed when I was young. The only reason I really want a little boy is because I would give him my father's first and middle names as 2 middle names one of which being Ian which is also my husband's middle name and his grandfather's name so it would tribute all 3 of them.

I had always wanted a boy to be the oldest. My girl is now 15mnth and totally utterly in love. It's just natural

I would love either or. But of course I've been more keen on girl names lately, before it was boy names. If I'm blessed with a boy or girl, I'll be so happy
