QUESTION should i expect an ultrasound at 1st appt??

Tomorrow is my first prenatal appt at 8 weeks and im curious if it is standard to have an ultrasound i have not had one yet and my mom and sister are asking to come with so they can see the baby.

Thanks for all the replies ladies! I called the doctors office and asked they told me its standard for them to do a vaginal ultrasound at the 1st prental appt so im all good and excited to see and hear baby tomorrow !!!

My first appointment is on October 10th and I asked if I was going to have an ultrasound. They said no, they will schedule an ultrasound during my first appointment. So I think it depends on the doctors office. You can call them and ask, they will be able to give you a definite answer.

My first prenatal appointment was at 7 weeks, and at my OB, I had an ultrasound. Baby has a heartbeat so you can see and hear 😊 I thought it was standard, but like another said, some Dr's might not ultrasound that early. You can always call your doctor's office to ask? I was 8 weeks at my first appointment and they did but I think it was because I have such irregular periods they wanted to see how big the baby was to see how far along I was since we couldn't go by a missed period but I guess it depends

There is a possibility of it.. But not always.. My first apartment they didn't..
