ladies please help a bleeding sister out!

I'm going through an early MC / Chemical.  My OB told me to use pads and not tampons. Well that hasn't gone well. I can't remember the last time I purchased pads. Last MC I had some given to me by mother who had them leftover from before menopause lol. Needless to say they don't make them anymore. I bought Kotex U pads but they seem to be absorbe resistant. I keep getting spilling out of the pad and when I check the pad there's hardly any blood on the actual pad. Any recommendations for a good brand &/or type ? Sorry for the TMi!
