Based on your experience what part hurts more? (Unmedicated birth only)

So this will be my first vaginal birth and I'm doing it 100% natural. I've been watching videos of women giving birth and some of them make it look easy and others make me want to reconsider. Wondering what will be the most painful part.

Post labor contractions hurt! Labor isn't so much pain as it is a total consumption of your body. If you tense yourself if will hurt, if you breath and relax you won't feel pain so much as surges of intense energy. Some feel like cramps others feel like a rush of adrenaline, like heaving a couch up the last flight of stairs with your roommate. The pressure is very intense as well. Find a mantra to repeat to yourself as the surges of contractions peak, that will help settle your mind away from " pain" and think every surge brings you closer to baby.

Pushing was amazing! It went quick and was just like taking a very large poop lol instant relief afterward, and you get a baby to hold too.

I think the crowning and pushing is the worst ever. I can tolerate everything else.

For me the contraction was the worst pain ever.      Just focus on relaxing and breathing through the contraction.  That helped out a lot.   When it came to pushing.. went by fast and as soon as. Any was out.. the pain all went away at the same time.. even when Dr was removing my placenta.. I was fine.. just a lil pressure but bearable

My contractions weren't bad- they were like really bad gas pain at the worst. the crowning sucked though.

I heard if you have easy menstrual cramps, then labor isn't too bad. If you shave bad menstrual cramps, then labor is worse. I barely feel off with my cramps, and my labor was easy with my first. I have a friend who is having her 9th and she concurs with the theory. We'll see with #2 for me if it holds true, lol.

This is going to be my 7th time giving birth unmedicated. For me the worst part is right before you have to push... That's when my contractions kicked into HIGH gear. I think it's because that when my water was broken and baby usually come soon after that. It was painful but if you can relax n breathe through it rather than tense up it lessens the pain.
