Letters to MLK
You know what's interesting? People still say these exact same things in 2016. Some of you have said these exact same things and then turned around and used MLK as your shield. Read them and tell me what's changed. These letters are a part of the reason I say to keep MLK out of your mouth when criticizing current protesters. MLK WAS A PROTESTER, and he blocked highways. Hell, he was assassinated while he was in Memphis for a protest for workers rights. Everybody was NOT all kumbaya with Dr King. The majority weren't then, and they wouldn't be if he were alive today. Don't tell me it was a different time then, because if things were so different, we wouldn't STILL be having this conversation.
