the depo shot?!?

I've read so many negative reviews on this BC.. If you've ever been on this shot or is currently how was your experience with it?

I hate depo. It was nice not to have a period but it made it difficult to conceive once we were ready, tried for over a year. I gained about 10 pounds on it also.

I was on it for almost 3yrs. I never had my period while on it and never had a pregnancy scare. I did gain hella weight from it but I was half to blame bc the last yr on it I was a sophomore in college. Also I have low bone density from it. After I got off didn't have a period for a year and it took about two years for my period to finally get regular. I can say for me ttc was really hard after it and now at 25yrs old I am finally pregnant and I am 25weeks.

Worst thing I've ever done. So insanely hormonal and gained tons of weight-- both things that are foreign to me. I have the implant now which is the same ingredient and although I am holding on to some weight it's not so bad

Don't get the shot, I believe it causes my ectopic pregnancy (that's one of the " side affects") . I also had a friend we both were on it for years and she ended up getting a blood clot! The doctors really said that the depo shot was the cause of her blood clot. We also gained a lot of weight and I went almost a year with no regular period. Ended up pregnant and had an ectopic. ... I said I would never get any bc again.

I had it for 2 years, loved not having a period but as soon as I got off I gained 20lbs in a month (I am very active and was going to the gym 5 times a week) and ended up having 2 miscarriages in 2 years after before falling pregnant (currently 35 weeks)

I had no issues with it. Took a little over a year to regain a period. I didn't gain weight or nothing. But it did take me and my husband almost 3 years to conceive. Not sure if it was because I was on depo for 2 years or if it was Gods way of saying when the time is right it'll happen. 6 weeks 5 days now

I have it and I seem normal :0 I don't get periods nior symptoms what I noticed is when I stoped the shot I got fat and when I got it again I went to my normal weight and I'm satisfied but maybe because I have less time with it only 2 times I've got the shot

I had this doctor highly recommend I will never do it again! I bleed for 3 months with it got my second shot still kept bleeding none stop always felt like crap bloating from hell gaining weight always hungry was none stop problems got off of it if been fine ever seance it was worse then regular bc

I had it... worse experience ever.. it made me SUPER hormonal to the extent I had to be on a mood stabilizers for a few months even after.
