ER nurse! when do I tell my boss?

I'm an ER nurse and just found out I'm pregnant with my first. Since the ER is a potentially dangerous environment, how early should I tell my boss about my pregnancy?

I am a nurse as well. I told my boss long before I told my parents (8 weeks vs 12 weeks) so that they would be aware. I think particularly in healthcare it's the sooner the better. Good luck!

Early. I got kicked in the stomach at work at 5 weeks and had to tell them way before I was planning on it.
