Visitors in the hospital?

Question

My husbands siblings want to come and visit us and bring all the kids. Would it be wrong for me to ask them not to bring them? 
I'm just paranoid about the germs :/ I'm even debating on asking people who come to visit in the hospital get a booster since it will be March and my immune system isn't the best in general :/

The hospital i will be delivering at actually has rules set for this reason. They say no children under 14 unless they are siblings of the baby. So maybe you should ask the hospital for their rules so if they have them too you are in the clear and just blame them for your family not being allowed to visit

My husband has 5 aunts and uncles on his moms side alone and they each have 3 kids and they are all planning on being at the hospital the day I go in. I have to figure out a way to tell them no because the thought of giving birth and then having to be "on" for dozens of people wanting to talk and hold my child makes me want to cry.

I totally understand where you're coming from. My husband has a huge and very VERY close family, and I don't really know how I'm going to dissuade them all from coming to the hospital (or my own 5 siblings and 17 nieces and nephews)! I guess March is better than the beginning of winter or something in terms of germs and flu season, but it's still not great.

I feel the same way. I'm having baby #4 via scheduled c section. Luckily my hospital let's baby come in recovery with me so I get some 1 on 1 time. Then I want my kids to see the new baby first.  My hubby never understood why I didn't want visitors right away. I'm like, I want some time to rest and at least get the feeling back in my legs!  And hopefully we can all stay well because last time we all caught bad colds the week before my son arrived!

I feel the same way. I don't understand how they think after we push a baby out we will be up for visitors and conversations? With my first I had to stay awake for days just because of visitors. Not this time!

I've already made it clear that I want to keep visitors limited while in the hospital. Both our parents will be there and my best friend. Most likely my brother in law and sister in law will visit, but we will keep pretty it pretty low key while in the hospital.

You all are too nice! My family all lives out of state and I told them we didn't want visitors for the first month with our son. You can never get back that initial bonding time and I wasn't really up for playing hostess when I was still trying to figure out what was what with being a mom. It was honestly one of the best decisions I ever made and I'm going to do it with this child too!

March they may not allow visitors. Jan thru march is hit and miss with flu, but it's not wrong to ask for the kids to wait to meet the baby as for adults tell them they need to be symptom free of any cold. They should understand.
