Baby poop question!!💩💩
My son is 5 days old and I'm doing my best at breastfeeding. I know there's no definitive way to tell how much a baby is eating except for the telltale signs from their pee/stool.... Well, he's peeing regularly which is good. Recently it seems that he's pooing with every feeding. Now I've read that it's normal for them to do that or for them to not go for a few days... but I've also read that if they're pooing "more than normal" it could be a sign of diarrhea and dehydration... This confuses me!! What exactly is more than normal if he could poop after every feeding or not poop for days?! Also, when my son poos, it's yellow and grainy (which is good) but the amount is less than a teaspoon. It's barely there. Is that "normal"? Also, it's more like a shart (lol)... He'll let out a loud, juicy sounding fart and his diaper will have little yellow grains but no real consistency of poop... Some one please tell me, does that sound healthy or like he's dehydrated.. I'm desperate to know if he's getting enough to eat!!
