What's your opinion on cosleeping? The hospital told me not to but I coslept with my daughter since birth and sometimes my son will not sleep by himself so I cosleep with him as well.

Co sleeping in my opinion Is different than bed sharing. We bought a co sleeper that attaches to ur bed frame. Co sleeper beds are very safe.
Bed sharing  (in my opinion ) is not so safe..

I personally will not do it as I don't feel it is safe. But if others do it safely and feel it works for them then thats fine too.

If you're bed sharing, you have to know yourself. For me, I know I don't move in my sleep but my hubby does so he's never slept with our son. I also am a light sleeper so ever move he made I woke up. I did this up until 3 months, then I started transitioning him to his crib.

My daughter slept on/with me for the first 6 months. She was breastfed and it was just easier that way, she's almost a year old now and sleeps in her crib no problem most nights!! It works for some people, not for others. It depends on you and your baby.

I think it really deprnds. For me it's not safe im a heavy sleeper and I move a ton (like 180 circles in bed). My sister do sleeps but she doesn't move an inch In her sleep

It's totally safe when done properly! The thing is that a lot of people DONT do it properly. I think the hospital advises against it because they don't want to be blamed when the parent does it wrong and something happens to the baby.

I don't agree with a baby sharing a bed but I think having a baby in a bassinet or something next to the bed is beneficial

I know its not the safest option for baby. But my LO would not be put down for the first month, and would only sleep on mine or my partners chest. I am an extremely light sleeper and would pretty much stay awake all night when I had her. I wouldn't let my partner sleep with her as he's an extremely heavy sleeper and wouldn't notice if she was screaming lwet alone if he'd moved in the night. So I think it depends.
