how long does engorgement last?

My boobs have been engorged for like 3-4 days now and I have tried the relieving pressure by hand expressing, hot & cold compresses, feeding baby often and I swear nothing is working. My nipple are cracked and sore and I have clogged ducts I feel idk I massage them and can feel lumps all over. I am miserable what do I do??

Pump girl!! Same thing happened to me until i pumped more often

Try a hot shower, gentle massage, and pump just enough to relieve the pain. If you cant get the lumps down/out then you should make an appt with dr or you may get mastitis(infection). Good luck momma! Breastfeeding is a struggle but well worth it.

Agree, pump pump pump ! Store your milk in the freezer, it's come in handy for us!

For sure pump extra and store it...this preg my engorgment lasted like 4-5 days. Good luck

I tried pumping and i barely got like 2oz out and I was still really full after :( I woke up last night with a fever so I'm almost certain I got mastitis. :(
