Dating a virgin

Hello! So I've been dating this great guy for a handful of weeks. It's been a long time coming since we've been friends for almost two years. He is still a virgin, which is great and I respect it, but the more time I spend with him the more my feelings grow and as do ~other~ feelings. My question here is do I have a sit down conversation with him about his virginity? I know that it isn't a religious choice bc neither of us are religious. But I don't even know why he has chosen to keep it. Do I just go with whatever happens happens? HELP!
