differences/ pros and cons??

Does anyone know the difference between a midwife and a OB/GYN?
And which do you prefer and why?

A midwife has a more holistic and natural point of view when it comes to pregnancy and labor. Depending on where you are, there are different certifications that someone needs to be a midwife. An OBGYN is a doctor that did all the "doctor school" and specializes in the care of people with uteruses. Usually they are more medically focused, and they are also trained to deal with high risk pregnancies. Midwives only take on low risk patients.

I personally prefer a midwife. I'm all into that natural water birth stuff and my midwife is very supportive of that. My OB was not.
