Is a size 10 a big size? ((American))

I'm 5'9" and 139 pounds and I feel fat 😭😭 I used to wear a size eight but those are getting a little to tight...so I might have to get some 10's....I can wear size small shirts and size small stretchy athletic shorts and to be able to wear those but be a size ten just makes me feel bad.
**Edit: I'm sooooo so sorry for saying a size ten is embarrassing....I feel suuuper bad about that and I should've worded it better...**

Is this for real? I'm 144 and 5'7" and I sure as hell wouldn't let anyone call me fat. Also a 10 is not that big. I don't know why but this post really got under my skin.

I'm 5'9 and weigh 145-150 but a size 4 or 6. Remember many stores use vanity sizing so don't get caught up in numbers. 
Work out and eat well you'll be fine!

Girl, size is irrelevant. It's about how you feel. I'm 5'10 and I weigh 150 lbs and that's a solid 20 pounds more than more most my friends but who cares? I'm taller. It's all about confidence. You shouldn't get caught up in the numbers, just work it ✨

I don't think you can base fat off of a size. It is based on your overall body fat. Like many others commented, I am also taller at 5'10. I'm 170 lbs. I'm athletic and muscular. I am below 25% bmi. I can fit into anything from a size 6 to a size 10, depending on brand and style. I am not considered fat.

If you feel unhealthy, I suggest changing ONE thing at a time. Like giving up soda. Or processed food. Or adding one day of exercise per week. Start small and work your way up.

I'm 5'2 and 150 lbs. I wear a size 11. Stores don't make jeans like they use too. They make everything smaller so you have to get bigger sizes. It doesn't matter what number is on your jeans as long as you are happy in your own skin!

No not at all. I'm 5'3 and weigh 158, I just had my son 8 months ago and my stomach is ugly and droopy/saggy. I wear a size 13-14 jeans because I have a big butt and thighs, but they never fit right around my waist. So I just wear leggings all day everyday and I wear a size medium-large. I feel so self conscious about my body now after I had my son. But numbers don't define you. Everyone's body is different and store fat differently. A friend of mine is 5'6 and weighs 180 but looks so skinny! I try to wear clothes that cover up my fat rolls and saggy stomach lol society now a days makes women insecure because they except you to have a perfect body, size 2, big butt and big boobs etc. which is unrealistic because no one is perfect like that. Like if you don't have a thigh gap you're fat. It's all bullshit. I have post partum depression because of my weight. My body has changed, when I sit my stomach gets a million fat rolls and looks disgusting. My thighs are as big as the Atlantic Ocean and I have cellulite like crazy. But now I realize how stupid I am for getting so insecure and depressed because society except you to be super skinny. Everyone's beautiful. I refuse to wear a bikini because I feel like I'm gonna get judged hard. It's sad. My point is, size is just a number and it shouldn't make you feel insecure or self conscious. Everyone's body is different. You're perfect the way you are because you are YOU, and that's all that matters. 💕
