36 weeks and cramping?

Okay so normally I'd read posts like this and be like oh totally normal in pregnancy. Well now it's happening to me and I'm getting a little nervous and am probably over reacting lol. I'm 36 weeks today, and have been having consistent cramping like period cramps but it's not coming and going like contractions would. It's not super painful I'd say mildly painful and more uncomfortable then anything. I'm asking on here first (i know were not doctors... but..) I would rather get advice before I call labor and delivery, and before I have to tell my husband and freak him out when he's 3000 miles away.
