TMI!! Is this mucous plug? Or just heavy discharge? How do you tell the difference?

I don't think it's your plug. It looks like thick discharge. Mucus plug has blood in it normally.

Mucus plug does NOT always have blood in it - btw. Mine has been coming out for 2 weeks and has had no blood. Second pregnancy and I'm still pregnant. So it doesn't mean you'll be in labor either!!

They don't always have blood in them. It might be. Mine didn't.

I lost my mucus plug in chunks throughout my pregnancy... if you didn't know, it does grow back. This is what mine always looked like and I never had blood in mine.

I never had a bloody show but to me this looks like normal discharge towards the end. I had an increase in discharge like this during the last month. My mucus plug came out a few days before birth and looked much more like thick mucus. When that came there was no mistaking it. But definitely lots of discharge that looked like that leading up to it!
