Am I in the beginning of starting labor?

Our county fair is on right now and I've been craving carnival food (funnel cakes, turkey legs etc) so my amazing hubs got two free tickets to go for a day (he works for the county so they get free county stuff) and took me today. I've been having pretty bad period cramps and lower back pain since last night and earlier this morning I even got pretty regular contractions. So we went to the fair at 4pm and started walking around. We weren't walking very fast or anything just browsing around. We decided to go into the exhibit building where it was AC for a min and walking in there, I started having hard painful contractions so we found a spot where the AC fan was blowing out directly and I sat in front of it for a few mins. The contractions slowed down slightly but were still there. After a few more mins they dulled out and I felt okay to start moving again. Not maybe 5-10 mins later after walking again, they started back up. A couple even had me doubled over. Hubs started getting a lil worried so I told him we should probably go home. Its now 6:20pm and I'm laying in bed trying to cool down and the pain has come back into my lower back and the period cramps are back. Idk what's going on but I can't call my dr. His office isnt open on weekends and I dont have the money out of pocket to call his personal line.

I don't want to make a trip to L&D just for them to tell me its braxton hicks and for me to drink more water. If I drink anymore water I'm gonna have to sit in the bathroom permanently.

I'm only 35+5
