Did birth control ruin anybody else's health?

Brittany
I started taking birth control pills at age 16 in hopes to get relief from severe menstrual cramps and it definitely helped. However, I knew nothing about the damages the pills were doing to me internally. I tried a couple of different brands and thought each one was better then the next. At age 22 I finally decided it was time to try going off the pill and face my cramps head on and it was the best decision I've ever made. I realized the pills were the cause of all the sicknessses I had been experiencing. It caused me severe anxiety, headaches, zero sex drive, and I believe depression. I hope everyone that takes the pill realizes how bad it is to put synthetic hormones into your body. I was tricked too. The pharmaceutical industry isn't looking out for our best interests. They are looking out for their best interest which is making billions of dollars off of us.
