Technology - the cause of and solution to the problem?

We're not actually arguing but I'm already upset because I really thought I was going to get my BFP this month after 8 years TTC and had a BFN (AF spotting also seems to have just started now). I'm just so disappointed and he can tell. He was playing with his phone and laptop the entire time after he came home last night as he doesn't like arguing, so tries to keep out of the way. He won't express himself if I confront about anything and that leads to arguments. Catch 22. Sometimes we argue because he'd rather play computer games on a rare day off we have together than spend time with me - like, why did you marry me, then? You already spend your days off alone without me!

He will openly discuss things on whatsapp though. Ive just had an essay come through from him about he's sorry, he knows he's been distant but he doesn't want to upset me even more so he's staying out of the way as he doesn't know how to stop me hurting and feels like a failure because of it.

I guess the fact you can re-read what you write before you send it, unlike a verbal conversation or that you're not actually face to face helps. I'm also noticing that I don't feel so embarrassed saying things like "I don't feel like you're interested in me" over messages rather than in person.

I've seen loads of posts about instant messaging causing problems but not so many where it seems to be helping. We certainly communicate more openly using it. Now I feel sad he's gone to work thinking I think he's a failure, rather than frustrated he's been distant lately.
