Luteal phase defect??

Question

Do you think there's a defect if I get a positive ovulation test on cd15 and have 26day cycles?

It's possible; they say if it's 12 days or under it is worth talking with an OB about. Of course it could be that it's just an oddly short, irregular cycle. Don't worry needlessly. :)

I recently had the same concern and brought it up to my gyno at my last visit 2 weeks ago. She told me a luteal phase 10 days & up in length is normal, and that anything less than 10 days is cause for concern. Your luteal phase is about 11 days long, so you fit in the normal range, but if you're worried, I absolutely recommend discussing with your doc. I know when I did, it really helped to at least put my mind at ease, as she said average luteal phase is usually between 10 to 15 days. You can have a longer LP, but anything under 10 days should be addressed. Hope this helps!
