Can I stop Father seeing his son?

Hi everyone new at this but my child's father has not wanted to see his son for 6\7 months straight. I've asked him no begged him to see our son for months but he's only interested in his new gf and his social life. If it went to court is there a way I could Stop him seeing his child. Because he DOES NOT CARE! I even told him he could have a disability and he did not text back. I feel sickened by him my poor son has a father like HIM!

Why would you go to court? If he isn't seeing the child now, that should be enough. If you go to try to remove all co tact, he's just going to want to see the child to push back.

So wait, he's not seeing the child and you wanna go to court so that they can order him not to see the child. Seems redundant🤔. At some point people, even guys, come to their senses. He can get to where he wants to see him. Wouldn't you want that door to be open?  Why would you want to be that baby momma that keeps the child away from the father?  Or is this about Control?

It really depends on the state you live in, but generally no, at least not this soon. 
Here in Michigan, if there is no contact between the child and father for 3 years you can cite abandonment and take him to court to take away all parental rights, which includes seeing the child. Otherwise, you'd have to prove him unfit only if he's a danger to the child and you really have to have hard evidence. It's a very difficult and expensive process. 
I'm sorry you have to go through this. My son's bio-father was the same. He didn't even care when my son was diagnosed with cancer! Can you believe that?! He was highly abusive and a drug addict, though, so it was best he stayed away. 
There can be a light at the end of the tunnel, although I know in my case I got very lucky. After my husband & I got married, my son's bio-dad OFFERED to sign off on his rights so my husband could adopt him ❤️ The adoption was complete January 23, 2016! He did it for the money - so he didn't have to pay child support anymore but, hey, at least he's not a threat & we never have to deal with him again. 
Here is my advice: if you haven't already, go to the courthouse and get child support in order. If he doesn't pay, he'll go to jail. Plus if you end up in the same position as me, it gives them more incentive to sign off.

I think you can refuse him as long as you don't have him pay child support. If he pays,  you have to give him the opportunity to see your child.

Unless he signs his rights over, unfortunately you can't stop him. If he can show the judge he's financially stable, in good living condition and no criminal or mental record, he has just as many rights as well. But since you're the mother you can decide the amount visitations, wether you want them supervised and how long they last at a time.

Im sure you're trying to do what's right for your child but you forcing him to stay away and him just not being around i think is different as your child grows he will either understand his mom fully supports him or he will just beilieve the crazy stories he hears like you made his dad stay away cause he wouldn't be with you or something. Not saying beg or just send your child as soon as he ask for him but I couldn't imagine not having my daddy around...
