purity ring

What do all of you think about the whole concept of a purity ring? Did you use/ are you currently wearing it? Is it pointless? If you didn't use one do you wish you did? Do you wish you didn't? I'd it wrong to wear one or do you think it should be encouraged? Have you even heard about it?  Btw: for those who don't know what it is, it is a ring a Christian (Virgin) wears to symbolise to others and/or themselves that they are gonna wait until their married.
