I'm only 7weeks pregnant and my husbands an ass and refuses to change my cats litter box for me untill and am allowed to. Is there any way that I can change my cat litter box that will be okay?

Really though, your husband is being as ass. Show him the info on toxoplasmosis and explain it's not you that you're worried about, it's the kid, so he needs to reconsider his stance on putting the child at risk.

I've always cleaned the litter box while pregnant. I just wash my hands really good afterwards. My doctor said it's not as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be if you are actually washing your hands.

I'd tell him that it's too dangerous and can cause alot of problems for you. The only save way I can think of is a mask and gloves. I know I changed my cats litter box a few times while pregnant but afterwards i'd get really dizzy.

Also keep in mind that good hygiene goes a long way. 2 of my cats actually had Toxoplasmosis 6 months before I got pregnant with my daughter. I used gloves to clean up after them while they had it and were being treated. My daughter is fine. Now all 3 have tested negative so when my husband is out of town I feel confident scooping their litter with gloves on.
