How does it work can someone please explain to me?

Babyshowers, so you have one for each gender?, only 1?, or for every baby?, im sooooo confused ove heard so many different things lol please help me figure it out?

Older people say only for your first baby but I know a lot of people these days having a second or a baby "sprinkle" for their other pregnancies. I'm gonna have a baby sprinkle. Its just a smaller version than a shower. Snacks, maybe games, etc.

I think its ok to have one for every child as a celebration. But i dont think its ok to expect gifts especially if you are having children close in age and still have the stuff needed for a baby. Different gender maybe like different clothing and diapers. My brothers gf did this with all her children. They arent far in age but she got rid of everything after every kid and expected to be given all the big stuff. She is a welfare person so her she is used to everything being given to her.

My SIL was new to the country and so didn't have family or many friends.  We had a small shower for her after the baby was born.  It was so lovely as everyone got to meet him and have a hold (he was a very agreeable Bub).  I'm planning on doing that for my shower.  Each to their own, I personally find baby showers boring and focussed on gifts (I'm happy to gift btw) so I'm choosing to wait until he/she is born and make it about meeting my Bub.

Each baby deserves a shower. But you cant be offended if people  dont make extra  effort  to attend like they would  for the 1st

I don't think there are hard and fast rules for that. If you need stuff because of gender difference or because you already gave away all your baby things, then you have a shower.

If you just need a little help with diapers and wipe, have a sprinkle!

I'm pretty sure it's only rude if, say, you still have plenty of clothes and equipment, and you expect people to buy you a whole new set of everything.

Its all up to you, your family member and your friends. Some people think its tacky to do more than one, other believe that every baby should be celebrated with its own shower. There's no point in throwing multiple showers if your friends and family dont support it and wont be there. You should talk to them about it
