Is this normal?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant, woke up this morning with a mild headache and my wedding rings were too tight. I had a hospital appointment where they noted I had traces of protein in my urine (3rd baby and never happened before), my blood pressure in one arm was 137/72, however when checking my second arm was 110/60 which is my normal. She didn't seem too concerned but said the Dr may send for a check. However he never did as wasn't too concerned. Is this normal?

Medically speaking blood pressure can vary upon each arm. Your blood pressure is fine on one and slighlty raised on the other but not excessive or worryingly had it been not pregnancy involved with your other symptoms. Being you've got headache and protein in your urine this can indicate the early onset of pre-eclampsia which can be serious. The doctor should have monitored your blood pressure over the course of two - three hours upon total rest every 20mins to determine a average reading. If it remained raised then this would be a cause for concern. If it stayed normol then id have brought you back over next few days to check. I'd request your seen for a check up withen the next few days and if the symptoms get worse go straight in to hospital. Best wishes

When I was 38 weeks pregnant I had some protien in my urine and blood pressure was higher than normal. Doc sent me to labor and delivery to be monitored and have blood drawn. Everything came back normal and I went home. If you are concerned you could call labor and delivery or even go to a Walgreens and check your blood pressure.

No. Sounds like early onset preeclampsia. I would get a second opinion. They should monitor you closely. BP doesn't have to be up too high for pre-e. My dr explained that one or more of the symptoms could be present. You have 2. If you don't feel right, just continue to bug them until they take you seriously. Could be nothing but it LOOKS to me like that's what is happening.
