ovulation question.

I took an ovulation test last Thursday and it was negative. This week is my fertile week so I took a test Saturday night, Sunday, and I took one this morning. The lines are becoming lighter and lighter. I haven't had a positive test. Is it possible I missed ovulation? My cycle is normally spot on. On time every time. This has me bothered. Thank you in advance for the help.
