essential oils anyone?

does anyone have any good info on use off essential oils during pregnancy? I've heard clary sage is off limits and that's it  but then I've also heard no essential oils during first trimester.

I know there are quite a few oils that we shouldn't use any time during pregnancy.  Clary Sage is definitely not the only one.  I've read quite a few warnings about the first trimester, so I have mostly stayed away from them to be safe. However I have still used some products with therapeutic essential oils for various reasons. I think also how you are using an oil makes a difference. From what I have read, aromatic is probably the safest, use  topical sparingly with a carrier oil, never take internally.  Again, with debate about safety in the first trimester, I have just decided not to use them too much for a while.  I'm sure I will use them cautiously though once I hit the second trimester. I definitely miss them!
