I talked with my nurse who told me to get on all fours and rock back and forth as far as I could. That helped alot. Also a maternity belt helps me too

Look up some basic stretches - it helps me within a day as long as I do them consistently!

Mine is the worst after getting out of bed. It helps me to first pull my knees up towards my chest and then push myself upright with my arms with my knees still bent, and keep my knees bent when turning to the edge of the bed before straightening them to the floor. Odd trick but it helps - otherwise I'm limping to go pee in the middle of the night!

Also, it helps to do sumo squats as part of my workout. And prenatal yoga is helpful too. doyogawithme.com is a great site.

Keep in mind that only a very low percentage of people have true sciatic pain, which radiates down your leg. My doctor couldn't tell me exactly what I have (it's a sharp pain deep in my joint in my butt on one side) but I find that these few things help.

I had sciatica during the early weeks of my third trimester.  Chiro chiro chiro!  Not only did he help me through that, but has coached me on stretches all through the pregnancy and I've had almost no round ligament pain.  Worth every penny, Especially if you're aiming for natural or low intervention birth.

Look up stretches on YouTube. They actually help. But remember don't baby it because it only makes it worse. You need to stay active and walk. Good luck.
