Is it okay to microwave bottles.?

I've hear that you shouldn't microwave bottles. I've been using hot water in a mug and warming the bottle that way. Seems like the bottle isn't getting warm enough. Help.

They sell bottle warmers that work great at walmart for about $15 or at the daycare I used to work at we kept a crock pot on low with water in it to heat bottles up in. no longer than 5 minutes

no, you shouldn't, and one of the reasons is microwave heating can create hot spots in the nilk and burn your baby. other reasons: excess heat can destroy vitamins and nutriens. 
are you using formula or breast milk?
