How long did you wait to take baby out in public?

I understand waiting a minute because of germs but how long until you were ready to take them to the store with you?

But more importantly you should do what you feel it's right for you baby! Everyone is going to have an opinion and they all have positive and negative sides so what you will decide it will be okay

We had him out at the park at 5 days old and out and about since then. Ppl are always shocked when we tell him he's only a few weeks old, but we're comfortable taking him out so I see no issues. Can't stay cramped up inside forever, plus the vitamin D and fresh air are excellent for baby and mommy ☺️

I avoided places like the mall for the first 6 weeks. Did take her out on little trips to places that weren't so crowded. It was the start of winter here in Australia when she was born and quite a few viruses going around so I didn't want to expose her to any of it.

Less than a week. As long as no one is breathing directly on them, we were okay.

About 2 weeks, we went on a little walk. After that, she's been out a lot. Grocery store, walks, friend's houses...she has my immune system at her disposal, no?

Less than a week. Just keep him in his car seat carrier and put a blanket over the front of it to cover him up so no one is breathing on him or feel tempted to touch him.

After their first shots. Build up their immunity. ;P But just to a restaurant every now and again. I think 2 weeks old is perfect. But do what you think is best. I know not going places with my first got me very depressed and as long as I have this one well protected and have hand sanitizer he will be fine. But do what you think is right. Women take their babies at a couple days old out! And some wait for weeks. They both end up healthy babies. To each their own.

Apart from doctor appointments about 7/8 weeks, but that was because I was scared of driving with her in the car. As soon as you feel comfortable go for it. My baby is 11 weeks now and I'm getting more confident everyday x

I didn't give birth yet. But the wic office said I have to bring her in within 10 days of birth. Wtf. A bunch of germs 😩

I don't remember exactly but i believe like 2 week's after getting home. And i never believed in covering up because the don't get air circulation in their cars and they also need to get their immune system strong by being exposed to normal environment. Ofc i am not saying let others touched the baby without washing hands or let people with colds be in contact with the baby but i believe protecting too much is the same as not protecting at all ;) my girl is 7 month's tomorrow and luckily never been sick so far
