bassinet or crib?

So my husband and I are wondering if we should get a bassinet first or a crib. We live in a one bedroom one bath condo so it's a small space and with my newborn baby on the way what should I get? Any suggestions or experiences?

I would say a pack n play or a crib. I wouldn't bother with a bassinet since the baby outgrows it so quickly .

I got a crib and a play pin I like it because the play pin will be easy to cart around if you have parents or anyone who want to help you with the baby ! Also the crib we got turns into a toddler bed 💁🏻 so it'll be good for a long time !!

I'd say just a crib for your living space. We did a pack n play with the bassinet attachment in our room for 2 months, then moved baby to the crib in his room. (I initially wanted to keep baby in our room longer, but he was so noisy and kept my husband up all night. Apparently I can sleep through anything...) if you have a one bedroom, I would assume baby will stay in your room. The only issue I have with always using the pack n play as a bed instead of a crib is that the mattress pad is very thin. I think baby is so much more comfy on his actual mattress in his crib. A friend of mine got mini cribs bc she had twins and was tight on space. I think they are a little smaller.

Crib or pack n play. They will outgrow the bassinet after a few months and then you'll have no where to put them. My God daughter fit in her pack n play until she was roughly 2 and a half.

No crib, no bassinet... just get a pack n' play that has the bassinet attachment. When baby outgrows the bassinet baby will be fine sleeping in the pack n'play.

The play pens now have an insert that makes a layer for the baby to sleep on that is like a bassinet. Bassinets are a waste of money.

I'm doing a bassinet and cradle. The cradle is a family heirloom and I hope that the bassinet will be as well!

I was originally going to do a crib and bassinet but then the reality of it set in - you are likely only going to use a bassinet for a couple of months so why waste the money?!  We are doing a playpen and a crib.

Probably a bassinet to save space plus baby's are so tiny for the first few months!!

For my first two single pregnancies  we just got basinets. It now we're pregnant with twins so we're going straight to one crib until they get tired of each other lol
