I've had 5 my whole life. I take great care of mine but they keep coming back. I'm kind of an expert lol

1. Don't wear tight shoes
2. Soak your feet. There are a few different things like Epsom salt and what not you can use. Google will tell you all the different things you can use so take your pick. 
3. Go to a pediatrist if you can. I went to my regular doctor who removed it and he never numbed me. So after my 4th one came back we went to an actual pediatrist and he was shocked beyond belief that he put me through that 3 times with no pain killer. He removed my 4th and then 5th one and I haven't had another grow back since!

Afterwards, to keep them from growing back, don't cut your nails super short, and if you can afford it, get pedicures. Doesn't have to be once a month or anything but the more you get the better

It's best to go to a medical clinic to get some antibiotics to get it clear it up before it get worst, I know it might be painful and irritating because it happen to me before!!

Yep, I've been getting them since I was like 10 
It doesnt look too infected by that photo you can probably treat at home if you want
I normally just soak twice a day, and keep neosporine on it (partialy to fight infection and partially because it keeps the skin sift so the nail an go through)
If you do go to the doctor I do suggest going to the podiatrist, my pediatrician did the first two and did numb it but I could still feel him cut and pull part of the nail out 😭 I was ten so I was bawling my eyes out and had to be partially restrained to stay still, after I went to the podiatrist I couldnt feel a thing and never let the pediatrician touch my feet again!

I had to go to the doctors and have them removed and fixed both toes both sides. Haven't had any problems since and I am going on 7 years now.

The best advice it's go with a podiatrist but you can also use tea tree oil my husband goes with one they removed but also prescribed tea tree oil.

I had one a few years back, and I had the sides of the nail permanently removed by a padiatrist. Soak your foot in salt water and keep it clean until you see you doctor about it and get referred to a padiatrist. 
Don't wear tight shoes, let it breathe as much as you can, and always keep it clean!

Best to go see a doctor and have it removed and likely need to go on antibiotics of some sort so it doesn't spread after surgery. It's a fairly quick procedure and decently easy healing process. Would get it done now while you can still wear sandals/open toed shoes for a little because if you wait till winter the healing process will suck more because you'll be constantly in closed toe shoes

My dad made me soak mine in salt & very hot water then he tried to cut my toe nails & luckily got it out! It was so painful but I'd rather suffer for a bit than forever lol
