Help ASAP he took a ton of pills!!! Is he going to be ok?

I know someone going through a rough time right now. He just told me and my boyfriend he took a few aspirins, a couple advils, AND 5 NYQUIL!!!  He said he feels weird. Is he going to be ok?

Based on his current mindset, even if the medications aren't causing an OD, he needs professional help. If he won't get the help himself and he is at a high risk of harming himself you all need to be responsible and get him the help he needs.

How about instead of posting this suicide attempt to a period tracker app, call the fucking ambulance and actually get him some help. Posting here and asking others opinion won't help him. He obviously needs real medical help, so if you want to be a good friend, get him the real help he needs.

He should be okay, but you can always call emergency responders and they can do a well fare check. He won't get in trouble, they'll just make sure he's okay.

Speaking from experience my best friend who lived a few hours from me said she was in a bathroom and school and just took a hole bottle of medicine. Proscription meds. I went straight to the principle and had them contact the school district where she was. I saved her life. She was mad for a while. But she eventually got over it. Sometimes people need someone else to make the right decisions for them. It's hard and scary. Get ahold of someone, get your friend some help!

Edit: He is trying to hurt himself. He keeps joking and saying to his girlfriend over the phone "maybe I should just jump out of this freaking car and I wouldn't have to worry about this anymore"
