I've been using summer eve cleaning wash on the last day of my af my last 2 cycles went to my doctor today because i was really itchy and they just called me and said I have a bacteria infection I can't think of any other cause of the infection I haven't had one before do you think it was the soap?

It's possible. You don't need special soaps for your vulva anyway, a gentle (preferably unscented) soap will do fine.

It's always good to test any soap on a small area of skin to see how you react to it. I recommend doing this next time because you very well may have delicate skin.

I was told by my doctor to not use this type and also to avoid scented soaps, as it's possible to throw off the pH levels. That's what happened in my case, any way.

All that you need to clean your genitals is plain water. Anything that throws off the natural acidity, especially soaps, can lead to a bacterial infection.
