it's totally possible! don't give up!!

My wife and I have been through sooo many of the ups and downs of lesbian ttc over the past 10 months. Being 25 and not financially set enough to drop thousands of dollars on IVF we opted for at home insem. The first two rounds in Jan and Feb we got donor sperm from a sperm bank and both rounds ended up nowhere. It felt like with a droplet of sperm it was never going to happen and made us feel like giving up until we could afford all the fertility clinic costs and sperm costs and doctors visits etc. we then found a live donor and met him in person. He has also donated to one of the major sperm banks on the northeast and had all recent genetic/std/fertility testing listing sperm counts, genetic history and negative for stds/hiv. We were hesitant about using a person without going through a company but we hired a lawyer and got a contract drawn up that was signed and notarized to protect both us and him. We tried the first round and got pregnant! But it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. We did our second round August 5th using syringes and preseed. Elevated hips for an hour (Netflix marathon helps) and then fell asleep. I took the next day off just to take it easy and let those swimmers do their job and 13 days later two pink lines popped up on a test and I'm now 10 weeks looking extremely forward to our new addition in April 2017!!
Don't give up! Don't always accept the path in front of you. Take your time. Relax. Enjoy eachother. Honestly what got me through 8 weeks of (two week waits) was promising to my wife that she and I were enough. That we would be thrilled to have children and we would get 16 dogs, travel the world and be crazy lesbian animal ladies if we couldn't. Enjoy the process. Love eachother. Sending baby dust to you all!!
