Baby food at 6 mo?

Question

My baby has no teeth but is teething has tried some purees like squash etc but only every once in a while...anyone doing different foods at 6 mo? What is safe? She has awesome tongue thrust reflex but am scaree what to give her to try with no teeth
 Ideas please!

I make all our baby food. So far, we have tried avocado, banana, sweet potato, pumpkin, butternut squash, peas, oatmeal and Cheerios.

Oatmeal has a little texture, so that might be something to introduce. I just take regular oatmeal (not quick oats), grind them to a flour and then cook with 1/4 cup water per tablespoon until thick. I thin it down with my breastmilk, or water and add a small bit of banana. My son loves it.

Cheerios, I broke into fours and then crush them in between my fingers and feed him. Tomorrow, I think we're going to try barley the same way as oatmeal.

I'd avoid anything you can't make soupy. And of course anything that can cause an allergy like milk, honey or nuts.
