22 day missed period - negative prego test- whats next?

Ive not had my period for 22 days i took a pregnancy test that said negative.... what could be the problem?

Could be stress...I missed my period for over 3 weeks and I wasn't pregnant...that was a few years ago...now I'm 8 days late this month...took a test....not pregnant...mother nature is just being an asshole...and what's worse...I have a wedding to go to on Saturday...UGH! FML!... Good luck girl...

I've had a super off period like that before even though I have normal cycles. There's a lot of things that can affect cycles: being sick, hormones, stress triggers, lots of sex, etc. 
if you're testing negative at this point I wouldn't worry, I'm sure it's right around the corner. Just try relaxing and I bet it'll come.

I went to see the doc last month cause of problems like this. She told me I needed bc just to regulate my cycle. After that, I can go back off of it but I need to get it back on schedule. I have gone 40 days without. It sucks but be prepared. When it finally comes it is so much worse than normal.
