Does anyone refrain from sex before fertile window?

Question

I've been TTC for 4 months this month & I was just wondering if anyone refrains from sex for a number of days before their fertile window to allow the sperm to build up? Is it necessary to do that?

Answer

I've read some stats that say don't "wait" bc you get old sperm in there.. if the guy isn't releasing. Ya know? So let's say you wait until the day of your fertile window; you could almost "waste" an evening with old sperm.

In my opinion, I've had women in my life get pregnant around the estimated ovulation window.. ya know? It's an estimation, I'm just assuming it's off each month so I cover all my bases :) ;) good luck!
